An integral part of the Company’s policy is the emphasis on quality. HALYVOURGIKI is committed to supply customers with the highest quality products and services in accordance to relevant National and European Legislation as well as National and International Standards.
The Company’s Quality Management System has been certified by the Hellenic Organisation for Standardisation (ELOT SA), and is in compliance with the requirements set by the Standard ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000. The main objective of the Quality Management System is to ensure customer satisfaction and added value by supplying the highest quality products and services.
The effective implementation and aim towards continual improvement of the Quality Management System is a firm objective and is achieved by continuous training and the participation of employees, as well as the unreserved support of Management.
CERTIFICATION
In 1994, ΗALYVOURGIKI was the first Greek company to be issued a CERTIFICATE of CONFORMITY by ELOT for the produced steel for the reinforcement of concrete. In 2001, certification was granted by ELOT for the implemented QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM in accordance with the Standard ELOT EN ISO 9002:1994. In 2003 the Quality Management System was certified by ELOT which complies with the Standard ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000.

Quality Control
Using the most advanced equipment, our strategic objective is to manufacture products of prime quality. In order to achieve this, we have developed and strictly apply all necessary systems and procedures for the control of all the production phases.
Our Company has a fully equipped laboratory where mechanical properties are tested and chemical analyses are performed. Specialised employees using reliable and calibrated equipment inspect the characteristics of raw materials and products. In addition, an effective traceability system is applied for the semi finished and end products.
Radiation
HALYVOURGIKI has developed mandatory measures in order to prevent steel being contaminated with radiation. By applying explicit inspections of both raw material and final products and using the latest available equipment for the detection of radiation, the Company ensures the safety of constructions, as well as the health and safety of all involved in the manufacture, transportation, handling and use of our products.
Two highly effective radiation detectors have been installed to identify sources in incoming scrap and to inspect final products.
