    Packing types - methods

    Concrete reinforcement steel is delivered in the following form:

    • Straight bars, in bundles weighing approx. 2 tons, 12 or 14m long and a tolerance of -0/+100mm.
    • Coils weighing 1500 to 3000 kg.

    Each bundle or coil has a securely attached label with the following data:

    • Country and works of origin
    • Grade of steel
    • Month and year of production
    • Heat number
    • Description of the product form and the nominal diameter
    • Marking
    Binding of steel for the reinforcement of concrete in straight bars or in coils is a packing procedure and the sole purpose is to maintain the bars in place within the bundle or the coil. The bundles or coils must not be lifted from these points.

    Storage of final products
